To Activating wi-fi in DSL Modem
Please go
through below steps for activating WI- FI in BSNL modem or any other DSL modem. These configurations
are enough for wireless set up in house.
1) Type 192.168.1.1 in Web Browser
2) Enter Username
& password will admin & password respectively
3) Click in
wireless Option
4) Give Tick
mark against that Wireless Option for activating service
5) Give your
own name in under SSID field.
6) Select WPA-PSK in network Authentication
7) Select
Data encryption as TKIP
8) Give new
password with letters, numbers & special Character.This will increase your
wifi security
9) Click in save option
10) Click
Reboot option in Modem OR restart that modem
11) Give
SSID name , network authentication & Data Encryption details in
Laptop’s
wireless adapter setting same that we given in Modem
12 ) Now you
can start browsing.
