Panasonic P51 Now in India and it price is Rs 26990
Last week Panasonic
launched its first smartphone in India, the P51. The device has been priced at
Rs 26,990. This new addition of the new Panasonic smartphone in the Indian
market will make tough smartphone competition even tougher. Now there are wide
open options for the people to choose from the available devices in the Indian
Smartphone arena. The already popular devices such as Micromax canvas HD, Xolo
Q800, Karbonn Titanium S5 have the very similar configuration in terms of specs
but if compared according to the price it carries the Panasonic P51 matches
with the higher end models like, Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X.
1)
Display
Panasonic P51 houses
a 5-inch display with the resolution of 1280×720 pixels and gives a pixel
density of around 294 ppi. The screen of the phone is made of Asahi Dragontail
glass and has an Oleophobic coating to prevent fingerprint smudges.
2)
OS
The Panasonic P51
runs on a Stock Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. The company has also included
the on-screen navigation buttons just like Google. There are minor
customizations made in the interface.
3)
Cellular connectivity
The Device also
supports dual-SIM route. However, only one SIM can be used for a 3G connection,
while the other can be used to surf the internet on EDGE. It features Wi-Fi
802.11 b/g/n standards.
4)
Processor
Panasonic P51 runs on
MediaTek's MT6589 SoC, which contains a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU clocked to
1.2 GHz and PowerVR Series5XT GPU and is backed by 1 GB of RAM. The SoC is
built using the newer 28nm fabrication process. The four cores should easily
help in gaming and even the general responsiveness of the UI. This shall put this
phone in a serious competition with Micromax Canvas HD.
5)
Storage
The Panasonic P51 has
a built in 4GB storage and can be expanded to 32GB via external microSD.
6)
Cameras
The device houses 8MP
camera with autofocus and LED flash and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Still, we'll have to wait and see how good the real-world performance of the
camera on the P51 is. The camera can be has the same features like Micromax
Canvas HD and the Karbonn Titanium S5.
7)
Battery
The device is
strongly powered by Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery that will easily last the whole
day.
The design and looks
of the Panasonic P51 may make a serious first impression on the market but the
staggering price of the device which is tagged to Rs 26,990 may possibly be one
challenge it has to face in the market. Other phones like Micromax Canvas HD,
Xolo Q800 or the Titanium S5 have the similar specs and have worked wonders
because of the better pricing that range between Rs. 11,990 to Rs. 13,690.
Thus, here under are the comparisons between the devices that are expected to
be direct rivals in the India. This comparison is based both price-wise and
specs-wise.
