Apple iOS 7 Unveiled
At it's Worldwide
Developers Conference 2013, Apple unveiled the much anticipated new operating
system for iPhones, the iOS 7. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that it is the biggest
change to iOS since introduction of iPhone. The OS from Apple has completely
redesigned flat icons. The iOS 7 has a new slide-up control panel, new fonts,
new icons and new translucent bars. iOS 7 boasts of a new card multitasking
feature.
It has a 3D interface. "When you tilt the phone, the perspective
changes," claims Apple. The OS also has a gesture back button for apps.
Apple has introduced the multitasking feature for all apps. It also features a
control centre. "Your most used apps get priority on background
cycles," claims Apple. According to Jonathan Ive, Apple's senior vice
president of industrial design, the new OS has a redefined typography. The new
camera app has automatic 'square' camera for Instagram shots, said Apple. While
Apple will be offer Air Drop on iPhone 5, the same will not be available for
iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. The Safari web browser has a new tab interface with a
complete redesign. The is also the provision of one-tap access to Safari
favourites of the user.
