Asus FonePad Note FHD6 With 6.0-inch Display
Taking centre-stage
at the Computex 2013, Asus has launched its FonePad Note FHD6 phablet. This is
the first phablet device by the Taiwanese company. Asus FonePad Note FHD6
sports a 6-inch, 1080p Super IPS+ display along with 1.6GHz dual-core Intel
Atom Z2560 processor. It packs in 2GB of RAM. Like the devices from Samsung
Galaxy Note series, Asus FonePad Note too comes with a stylus. It will run on
Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. As per the company Asus FonePad Note
FHD6 comes with an "incredible narrow frame", which makes it easy to
use with just one hand.
For camera, there is
an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera on-board. The phablet
also packs in front facing stereo speakers with SonicMaster sound. Asus FonePad
Note FHD6 supports 3G and HSPA+ connectivity options but does not have LTE
support. As of now there is no news in regards to when this tablet will start
retailing and at what price. Asus FonePad Note FHD6 will be competing head on
with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Galaxy Note II features a 5.5-inch Super
AMOLED HD display, 1.6GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. The device
also comes with 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front camera and a huge
3,100mAh battery on-board. The phablet is just 9.4mm thick and comes in 16/ 32/
64GB storage options. As per the rumours, Samsung is expected to unveil the
next version of Note device at the IFA Trade fair in August 2013. According to
the rumour mill, the Galaxy Note III will come with 5.9-inch screen.
